New Greek Tourism Office opens in Melbourne to strengthen ties with Australia
In an official announcement, the Greek National Tourism Organisation (GNTO) has confirmed the commencement of operations for its new office in Melbourne, aiming to strengthen Greece’s presence and further promote the country’s brand in the highly important Australian tourism market.
According to the official press release: “The Organisation’s new office, located within the Consulate General of Greece in Melbourne, is expected to serve as a bridge between the two sides, enhancing tourist flows to our country and highlighting Greece’s unique cultural and natural heritage. It will do so through targeted initiatives that showcase thematic tourism products, lesser-known destinations, and authentic experiences available to visitors throughout the year.
Special emphasis will also be placed on developing collaborations with representatives of the tourism sector, specialised professionals, and organisations who can help promote Greece’s image as a sustainable and authentic destination.”
Heading the GNTO Australia office is Georgia Dimopoulou, a seasoned executive with extensive experience, in-depth knowledge of the tourism sector, and strong organisational and communication skills essential to effectively implementing the GNTO’s mission in the region.
