Greek Book Fair returns to Melbourne in December

The Greek Book Fair, Australia’s biggest celebration of Greek and Greek Australian publications, is back next month.

The one-day event on December 6 will again bring together writers, publishers and book retailers showcasing new and recent works by Greek and Greek Australian authors. Organisers say the program will feature books in both Greek and English, spanning fiction, poetry, history and children’s literature.

The fair has grown in recent years alongside a renewed interest in Greek language and cultural education, particularly among younger Greek Australians. Attendees will be able to meet authors and browse publications reflecting contemporary themes as well as historical and diasporic narratives.
