Norwich celebrates global cultures at City Hall

Global City Norwich is celebrating cultural diversity with a series of flag-raising events at City Hall.
The first event will be at noon March 22, honoring the Greek community. The Greek flag raising will take place in the David Ruggles Courtyard, where attendees can gather to celebrate Greek culture and heritage according to a community announcement. This event aims to recognize the contributions of the Greek community in Norwich.
Following the Greek flag raising, the Togolese community will be celebrated at 4 p.m. April 24. This ceremony will highlight the resilience and contributions of Togolese residents, emphasizing the global connections that enhance Norwich.
The third event will honor the Haitian community at 11:30 a.m. May 16. The Haitian Heritage Flag Raising will recognize Haiti’s history and the significant contributions of the Haitian community in the city.
Residents are invited to participate in these cultural celebrations, which will be held at City Hall, according to the announcement. The events are part of Global City Norwich’s efforts to honor the diverse cultures and heritages that make the city unique.
