4 Autumn Trips for Solo Women Travelers in 2026
There’s something special about traveling in the fall. The crowds soften, the light turns golden, and locals seem a little more relaxed and welcoming.
It’s the perfect season to explore Southern Europe with a small group of like-minded women. We’re off to Europe this fall, starting in Scotland in early September, followed by the Greek Islands, Italy, and Portugal. Which destination is calling you?
One of our favorite fall journeys is the Portugal adventure, a week-long, women-only small group trip designed for curious travelers who love hands-on experiences, beautiful scenery, and great food.
Our Magical Portugal tour begins in vibrant Lisbon, where sun-dappled streets, historic neighborhoods, and lively cafés set the tone for the week.
From there we explore the enchanting palaces and lush hills of Sintra, wander the seaside charm of Cascais, and end our journey in dreamy Porto, famous for its riverside beauty and food scene.
We’re also heading to the sun-soaked Cyclades this September for an unforgettable women-only island adventure in Greece.
Our eight-day journey is perfect for solo women travelers and begins with the iconic island of Santorini for two nights.
You’ve seen photos of Santorini, famous for its volcanic landscapes, whitewashed villages, and spectacular sea views. Visit Oia and the ancient ruins of Akrotiri.
Then we island-hop to Naxos for three relaxing nights—one of the most charming islands in the Cyclades—where we’ll wander coastal villages, enjoy seaside dinners, and soak up the laid-back island vibe.
In October, we head to Italy’s stunning Amalfi Coast for a solo women’s adventure, staying in beautiful seaside hotels in Sorrento and Naples. It’s one of our most popular trips and always fills quickly.
For something completely different, join us for Hiking the Highlands in early September in the Scottish Highlands. This trip is for active travelers—if you regularly go to the gym and enjoy walking, you’ll do great. And yes, there will be a loch plunge and sauna time!
When you travel with a small group of women, your trip is about more than seeing the caldera of Santorini and eating the best pizza in Napoli. These journeys are about meeting new friends and creating a travel community for yourself. You want to see the world, and it turns out there are many other women travelers out there who want to do the same thing! Come meet them in Scotland, Italy, Greece, or Portugal this fall.
