Dance ensemble to represent Greek Community at Melbourne’s Moomba Festival Parade

The MANASIS dance ensemble will once again represent Melbourne’s Greek community at the iconic Moomba Festival Parade, taking place on Monday 9 March in the heart of the city.

Participation in the Moomba Festival, the largest community celebration in Melbourne, is considered a significant honour for the Greek Australian community. The inclusion of MANASIS highlights the enduring presence and contribution of Hellenism within Victoria’s multicultural landscape.

This year, a large contingent of dancers and supporters will take part in the parade, bringing vibrant Greek colours, traditional music and cultural heritage to central Melbourne. As in previous years, the Greek presence is expected to attract warm applause from spectators lining the streets, with the Greek flag and traditional costumes creating one of the parade’s most recognisable and celebrated displays.
