Legendary Bike Odyssey Returns to Greece in 2026

The legendary Bike Odyssey returns, promising one of the most challenging and renowned mountain biking (MTB) stage races in the world.

Since its debut in 2013, the event has become a bucket-list race for MTB athletes globally, offering 8 days of epic cross-country cycling, covering 681 kilometers with over 19,800 meters of positive elevation gain.

Riders will traverse the heart of the Pindus Mountains, navigating some of the world’s most demanding trails through dense forests, rivers, and over 50 traditional villages that showcase Greece’s natural beauty and cultural heritage.

Race Highlights:

• Multi-stage Challenge: Each stage tests strategy, technical skill, and endurance.

Stage Overview:

• Samarina, Grevena → Metsovo, Ioannina (85 km): Traditional villages and warm hospitality.

• Metsovo → Pyli, Trikala (108 km): Panoramic views of the Athamanika Mountains and local architecture.

• Pyli → Kalyvia, Karditsa (89 km): Thessalian landscapes and the serene Plastira Lake.

• Kalyvia → Krikelo, Evrytania (103 km): Dense forests and historic villages.

• Krikelo → Krikelo (31 km): Circular stage with technical challenges.

• Krikelo → Athanasios Diakos, Fokida (82 km): Historic landmarks and heroic scenery.

• Athanasios Diakos → Ano Chora, Nafpaktia (79 km): Enchanting mountain forests of Nafpaktia.

• Ano Chora → Kryoneri, Aetolia-Acarnania (104 km): Finish along the Patraikos Gulf, concluding the odyssey.
